This License Agreement (the “Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you and Ashish Kashyap, trading as Pikaicons (“Pikaicons”, “we”, “us” or “our”). It covers every icon we provide, whether you get it from the Figma file, the Pikaicons app, a download or a code package. By downloading, buying, copying or using any Pikaicons icon, you agree to this Agreement. If you accept it on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it, and “you” then means that organization. If you don’t agree, don’t use the icons.
In short: you can use the icons in unlimited personal and commercial projects, you buy one license per team based on how many people use the files, and you can’t resell, share or redistribute the paid icons themselves. The free icons are MIT licensed. The full terms below take precedence over this summary. Compare plans on the pricing page.
Definitions
- Icons
Every icon, glyph and illustration we provide, in any format (Figma, SVG, PNG, React, React Native, Solid or any other), including updates and any copy or modified version you make.
- Free Icons and Paid Icons
Free Icons are the icons in our free pack (221 icons), which are also available under the MIT License (see section 5). Paid Icons are every other icon, available only with a paid license.
- End Product
A finished work that you or your client make in which the Icons are part of a larger design, such as an app, website, software product, presentation, document, video, printed item or marketing material.
- Seat
A named person who accesses the Icons in their source form. That includes anyone who opens the Pikaicons Figma file, logs in to the Pikaicons app, or downloads, copies or exports Icons, whether they’re a designer, developer, employee, freelancer or contractor working for you.
- Team
The people in one company or organization who use the Icons under the same paid license.
License Types
There are four license types. Paid licenses differ only in the number of Seats they include.
Free
- Covers the Free Icons only, under the MIT License (see section 5).
- Seat limit: not applicable.
Solo (formerly Plus)
- Covers all Icons, including Paid Icons, for freelancers and individual designers.
- Seat limit: 1 Seat.
Startup (formerly Pro)
- Covers all Icons, including Paid Icons, for small teams.
- Seat limit: up to 8 Seats in the same Team.
Enterprise (formerly Prime)
- Covers all Icons, including Paid Icons, with priority support.
- Seat limit: up to 24 Seats in the same Team. For more than 24 Seats, contact us for a custom license.
What You Can Do
- License Grant
As long as you follow this Agreement, we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the Icons covered by your license type. You can’t sublicense it, except that the people who use your End Products may use the Icons as part of them.
- Permitted Uses
Under any license type, you may:
- use the Icons in an unlimited number of personal and commercial End Products, for yourself or a client;
- modify the Icons, for example by changing their color, size, stroke or shape;
- use the Icons in your own design files, prototypes and internal design system, as long as only your Seats can access them in source form.
- Icons Inside Websites and Apps
Shipping Icons as part of a website, app or software product is fine, even though the code delivered to users (inline SVG, bundled JavaScript, compiled assets) technically contains them. What matters is that you don’t offer the Icons for others to download, copy or reuse on their own.
Seats and Teams
- Count Every Person With Access
Every person who accesses the Icons in source form needs a Seat, as defined in section 1. Developers who only work in a codebase where the Icons are already implemented, without opening the Figma file, the app or the icon files, don’t need a Seat.
- Reassigning Seats
Seats belong to named people, not to devices or shared accounts. When someone permanently leaves your Team or stops working with the Icons, you may reassign their Seat to someone else. You may not rotate Seats between people to stay under your limit.
- No Shared Accounts
Don’t share your Pikaicons app login, license key or download links with anyone outside your licensed Seats.
- Growing Your Team
If your Team grows beyond your license’s Seat limit, you must upgrade before the extra people start using the Icons. We may ask you to confirm how many people use the Icons, and you agree to answer truthfully.
Free Icons and Attribution
- Free for Personal and Commercial Use
You may use the Free Icons in personal and commercial End Products, including open-source projects.
- Attribution Is Optional
Credit isn’t required, for free or paid licenses, but it’s always appreciated. If you’d like to give it, write “Icons by Pikaicons” with a link to pikaicons.com, for example in your site footer, an About or credits page, app settings, or the README of an open-source project.
- Free Icons Are MIT Licensed
The Free Icons are available under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and sell them, on their own or as part of another icon set, provided you keep the MIT copyright and permission notice with any copy of the icon files. Where the MIT License and this Agreement differ, the MIT License governs the Free Icons. It doesn’t cover Paid Icons, which stay under the rest of this Agreement.
Freelancer and Agency Work
- Your Client Needs Their Own License
If you use Paid Icons in work for a client, the client must hold their own valid Pikaicons license by the time you deliver the project, because they’ll keep using and editing the Icons after you’re done. You may tell the client to buy one, or buy one on their behalf.
- Buying on a Client’s Behalf
A license you buy for a client must be transferred to that client when you deliver the project. This is the only case in which a license may be transferred, and it may be transferred only once. Email us the order details and the client’s contact and we’ll move it.
- Affiliate Program
You can send clients your Pikaicons affiliate link when they buy a license, and earn a commission on the sale. Apply for the affiliate program here.
Restrictions
To protect our work, you must not, under any license type (these restrictions don’t limit the Free Icons under the MIT License, see section 5):
- Resell or Redistribute the Icons
Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, give away or otherwise distribute the Icons, whether original or modified, on their own or bundled with other assets, in a way that lets others use them separately from your End Product.
- Put Paid Icons in Reusable Products
Include Paid Icons in anything that lets its users take the Icons out and reuse them. That includes templates, themes, UI kits, design systems or component libraries shared outside your Team, Figma Community files, plugins, icon fonts, npm or other code packages, and stock or asset marketplaces. This applies whether the product is sold or free.
- Publish Paid Icons in Public Repositories
Include Paid Icons in open-source projects or public code repositories, because their files are publicly accessible. Only the Free Icons may be used there.
- Use the Icons for AI Training
Use the Icons, or any part of them, to train, fine-tune, test or prompt an artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or to generate icons or icon sets that imitate or compete with Pikaicons.
- Use the Icons in Logos or Trademarks
Use any Icon as part of a logo, trademark, service mark or brand mark, or register any Icon as your own intellectual property.
- Claim Ownership
Claim that you created the Icons, even if you’ve modified them.
- Exceed Your License
Let more people use the Icons than your license allows, or use Paid Icons under a Free license.
- Use the Icons Unlawfully
Use the Icons in anything that is unlawful, defamatory or hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
Some Icons depict third-party brands, logos or products (for example social media icons). Those names and marks belong to their owners. Our license covers our drawings of them, not the right to use those brands, and you are responsible for following each brand owner’s guidelines.
Updates and Upgrades
- Lifetime Updates
Paid licenses include every new Icon and improvement we release for as long as we offer Pikaicons. We decide what to release and when, and we’re not obligated to release updates on any schedule. If we ever stop offering Pikaicons, you keep the right to use every Icon you received under this Agreement.
- Upgrading Your License
To move from Solo to Startup or Enterprise, or from Startup to Enterprise, contact us. We’ll credit what you already paid toward the new license, so you pay only the difference.
Payments and Refunds
- Payments
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our merchant of record and handles billing, taxes and invoices under its own terms. Every paid license is a one-time payment.
- Refunds
If you hit a major problem with the Icons, email pikaicon@gmail.com within seven days of purchase. We’ll try to fix it, and if we can’t, we’ll refund you in full. We don’t offer refunds for a change of mind, for not using the Icons, or for being new to Figma, and we may limit refunds for repeated requests. When a refund is approved, your license ends and you must delete every copy of the Paid Icons within 24 hours.
Ownership
We own all rights, title and interest in the Icons, including copyright and other intellectual property rights. This Agreement gives you a license to use them, not ownership of them, and every right not expressly granted here is reserved by us. You own your End Products, apart from the Icons inside them.
Termination
- When We Can End Your License
We may end your license if you materially breach this Agreement and don’t fix the breach within 14 days after we notify you by email. We may end it immediately, without that notice period, if you resell, redistribute or publicly share Paid Icons, or deliberately use more Seats than you paid for.
- What Happens Next
When your license ends, you must stop using the Icons and delete every copy you or your Team hold. End Products that you published or delivered before your license ended, in compliance with this Agreement, may stay in use as they are.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
- No Warranties
The Icons are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
- Limits on Our Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from the Icons or this Agreement. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for your license.
- Your Responsibility
You agree to cover any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that we face because of your End Products, or because you broke this Agreement.
Governing Law and Disputes
This Agreement is governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, email us first and we’ll try in good faith to resolve it. If we can’t, the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. We’ll publish the new version on this page with a new effective date, and it applies to everyone from that date, including customers who bought earlier. If you keep using the Icons or receiving updates after that date, you accept the new version. Changes won’t take away your right to keep using End Products you published or delivered under an earlier version.
General
This Agreement is the entire agreement between you and us about the Icons, and it replaces all earlier versions, including the version effective January 2025. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t waived it. We may transfer this Agreement to whoever takes over Pikaicons. Send questions about this license to pikaicon@gmail.com.
Thank you for choosing Pikaicons.
